In 1760, according to Wikipedia, a patent for Venetian blinds was issued. Although as a supplier of mine recently said, chance’s are it will no longer be under warranty. The Venetian blind has evolved considerably since then and is now available not only as its original wooden free-standing arrangement but tensioned, aluminium, faux, Intu, perfect fit or polyvinyl manifestations. These custom made blinds offer functionality, simplicity and cost-effectiveness. In other words, something for everyone.

As a norm, Venetian blinds are more often than not mounted within the window recess and can create the perfect solution for exposing architectural features and your decor. Alternatively, custom made blinds such as these can be mounted above and outside your reveal and with the addition of a neat pelmet or fascia to add a touch of detail, it can become a stand-alone and stunning window treatment.
